Hazel Monaghan

Like every other freelancer in the arts, Hazel’s had a very nervous summer and could not be more grateful to be back on the road. She’s been working as a live subtitler throughout lockdown, creating the subtitles for the news and sports channels. She could now take anyone in the sports section of a pub quiz - not that she can test this theory. After training at The Television Workshop in Nottingham, she studied English at Swansea University and Literature & Translation at Université d’Aix Marseille. Hazel began her career in film and TV, and has spent the last few years in theatres or on tour. Otherwise, she’s usually climbing, reading or writing a pretty libellous play about James Joyce (he’s in the public domain now, so...).
